It's just perfect. I can't explain it without reading it to you, and that's kind of impossible. If you see it in a bookstore, stop and read. It's only about 35 pages. It is just brilliant.

I read it and giggled all day. I just bought a copy for some friends of ours who are coming over for latke lessons. (Yeah, the shiksa is teaching two jews to make latkes. I taught them how to make chicken soup last year.)

Hey, whatever works--my first successful challah recipe was given to me by an Indian friend. She and her German-American husband met at a Rosh Hoshanah dinner thrown by some friends.
I'm glad you found the book funny- he really captured that frustrating feeling!
